John Lowrie Morrison OBE, known as Jolomo, is one of the most popular and successful artists in Scotland, with an international reputation. Even those with little interest in art will recognise a Jolomo landscape with its distinctive heightened colour and richly textured oil paint. He is one of the most copied artists in the land but no one quite masters his unique work.
We are delighted he is returning to Tolquhon after his hugely successful 2017 exhibition. The show brings together paintings of the artist’s favourite places including the islands of Arran, Gigha, Iona, Jura, Mull and Tiree. From fresh summer meadows to stormy winter seas, quiet moonlit skies to rich intense sunsets, he paints all seasons and all weathers, always glorying in colour.
