Illona Morrice — Southern Images 2017

ILLONA MORRICE has been exhibiting at Tolquhon for many years and it is always fascinating to see what emerges from her studio. No two pieces are the same and her work is constantly evolving, both in theme and in style. Illona grew up in Denmark but Scotland has been her home for more than 30 years. A keen sea kayaker and climber, she is at home in the natural world and beautifully expresses her response to her surroundings.

This exhibition reflects Illona’s impressions of South Georgia and Patagonia in what has become her pared down style.
