DK MacLeod lives in Shawbost in the Outer Hebrides and has been painting since his teens. Born and bred on the Westside of Lewis, he studied in Lochmaddy, Uist.
He is intent on capturing the changing colours of the skies, land and sea of his native Isle of Lewis. Long stretches of shining sand and seas, rocky headlands and magnificent cloudscapes inspire his paintings. With distinctive brushwork and impressionist style, DK uses colour to dramatic effect in his striking landscapes.
