WELCOME to TOLQUHON GALLERY

One of the longest established independent galleries in Scotland

Danny and Joan Ross opened the award-winning gallery in rural Aberdeenshire in 1987. They celebrate and promote Scottish art, showing the best emerging artists as well as established modern masters. Several hundred artists are represented by the gallery. All are carefully selected by Danny and Joan, who are always on hand and happy to discuss the work of any artist.

Snowdrops on the Frosty Riverbank by Brita Granstrom

Snowdrops on the Frosty Riverbank  BRITA GRANSTROM

We usually caution that snow may disrupt the opening of our Spring Exhibition, but this year it was the coronavirus doing the disrupting. It seems we must continue online only for the time being but we shall re-open as soon as we possibly can. We have a superb collection of artists contributing to the Spring show, including a number who are new to the gallery.

There is a wealth of art on our website, we hope you can enjoy browsing online. And if you wish to buy a piece of art to enjoy in your own home, we are offering free UK delivery while the coronavirus outbreak is ongoing.

We wish to support the artists we exhibit to the best of our ability. Like so many others, many artists have been struggling, their art is their livelihood, it is not a hobby. So, if you were thinking of buying a painting or a sculpture or ceramics…now is the time.

Do get in touch if you would like additional information or images of any pieces.
