One of the longest established independent galleries in Scotland

Danny and Joan Ross opened the award-winning gallery in rural Aberdeenshire in 1987. They celebrate and promote Scottish art, showing the best emerging artists as well as established modern masters. Several hundred artists are represented by the gallery. All are carefully selected by Danny and Joan, who are always on hand and happy to discuss the work of any artist.

New Growth Yellow Room by JANE ASKEY

New Growth Yellow Room JANE ASKEY

Christmas is coming and we are delighted to present a wonderful collection of paintings, original prints, sculpture and studio crafts. The exhibition continues throughout the winter with new work arriving from time to time but we can arrange delivery, or you can collect, whenever convenient. You can be sure to receive pieces in time for Christmas.

We are currently open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm, but you are welcome to come outwith those hours if you get in touch and let us know when you would like to visit.

We are restricting numbers meantime to 3 households at a time and we ask each household to remain in a separate room and circulate in turn. We have hand sanitiser at the door and we are cleaning regularly. We want you to feel safe and to enjoy a relaxed visit. It will be great to see you.

There is a wealth of art on our website. If you are stuck at home in self isolation, we hope you can enjoy browsing online. And if you wish to buy a piece of art to enjoy in your own home, we are offering free UK delivery while the coronavirus outbreak is ongoing.

We wish to support the artists we exhibit to the best of our ability. In the coming months, many artists are going to struggle, their art is their livelihood, it is not a hobby. So, if you were thinking of buying a painting or a sculpture or ceramics…now is the time.

Do get in touch if you would like additional information or images of any pieces.
