Expressive Landscape on a
Large Scale

Suitable for all, students will develop their own work
throughout the course of the weekend, practising the skills of observing, analysing and composing.
Outdoor or imaginative sketches and photographs
can be used, producing a painting on a grand scale.
This class will include a demonstration in acrylics on a large canvas concentrating on the structure and
composition of the painting. Discussion of all aspects of artistic practice will be encouraged.

Still Life in Oils

Suitable for beginners and improvers, the aim of this
course is to explore Oil Painting through Still Life. Be inspired by a beautiful still life set up to create
your own interpretation in oils.
An expert in Oil Painting technique, Kelly-Anne will guide you through step by step stages from sketching and composing
your painting to mixing colours and creating paint effects using the wonderful medium of oil paint.

A thoroughly creative and well grounded workshop.
Whether you are a complete beginner or improving on hard-won skills, this progressive and enjoyable
course will take you on a two-day voyage of creative discovery from initial idea to complete, mounted
work of art.
Graham will be in touch in advance to discuss each student’s concept. Students may use
any medium. Demonstrations and discussion will form an integral part of this exciting workshop.

Introduction

This workshop is aimed at first time DSLR users who want a taste
of the Pixel to Print experience. Advance your knowledge and
creative skills in a friendly and relaxed environment. The
Saturday session will begin with camera basics and settings.
After lunch there will be a group Photowalk (weather
permitting). Sunday will cover photo editing so a laptop with
suitable software, e.g. Photoshop Elements, is recommended, but
not essential.

In the picturesque conservation village of Udny Green,
develop your powers of observation as a stimulus for Creative Writing. Whether you are a beginner or an
experienced writer, this weekend workshop will encourage you to explore the influence and
importance of place on writing.
Members of the workshop will work on poetry and prose, seeking
inspiration in the unique features of the village.

LUNCH
There will be a break of half an hour for lunch
each day. Coffee and tea will be provided but please make your
own arrangements for lunch. The studio in Udny Green will be open if you wish to bring a packed lunch and eat it in the
studio.
