Weekend Workshops
A number of Weekend Workshops will take place
during July and August. In addition to those listed below,
there may be a Drawing weekend and an Oil Painting weekend.

Still Life Studies
Tutor: Karyn Fraser
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July
9.30 am to 3.30 pm each day
A two day Still Life painting class
for improvers who wish to develop their painting. Karyn will
cover drawing and painting skills, tonal studies,
composition and more. The workshop will lead to each student
producing a large finished Still Life painting. Students may
use acrylics or oils.

- Just Drawing for the Weekend
Tutor: Mark Moynihan
Saturday 26th July
and Sunday 27 July
9.30 am to 3.30 pm each day

This weekend will focus
exclusively on drawing and will cater for the individual
needs of every student. You will be given the opportunity to
draw large or small scale and will be encouraged to explore
a range of mediums covering a variety of subject matter.
Different types of drawing will be discussed with the aim of
completing a project tailored specifically towards the
interests of each student.

Creative Watercolours
Tutor: Joyce Taylor

Saturday 2nd and
Sunday 3rd August
9.30 am to 3.30 pm each day
This workshop aims to help both
beginners and experienced painters make the most of their
abilities. It is Joyce’s intention to help you develop
your own personal approach, but above all the course is
designed to enhance the pleasure of painting. Tuition will
be given in watercolour techniques, which will include
"wet in wet" and may also include some mixed media
work. There will be a balance of studio work and outdoor
painting if the weather permits.

Let Rip Abstract!
Tutor: Karyn Fraser
Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August
9.30 am to 3.30 pm each day

This weekend is for improvers
only. Using photographic sources, learn how to
develop ideas in an abstract/contemporary style,
exploring colour, line, pattern, texture etc. Photographic
sources can be supplied but please bring along any photographs
which interest you. Students may work in the medium of their
choice.
Cost £70
MEDIA
Further information and advice about materials will be sent out
with confirmation of booking.
PLACE
Tolquhon Studio Workshop, Udny Green.
LUNCH
There will be a break of an hour for lunch
each day. Coffee and tea will be provided but please make your
own arrangements for lunch. The studio in Udny Green will be open if you wish to bring a packed lunch and eat it in the
studio.
COST
Payment for Workshops to be made in advance by
