20 September to 12 December There are 10 classes in each course. Courses commence in the week
beginning Saturday 20 September. There will be a two week break
when Aberdeenshire schools are on holiday (13 to 24 October) so classes
will end in Evening classes cost £105 for a ten
week course. |

The class will be constructed around the needs
of each individual student. The student will have the opportunity to
explore a range of different drawing methods whilst tackling a variety of
subjects ranging from still life to portraiture to large scale interiors
to drawing at night. It will appeal both to those who are interested in
drawing for its own sake and to those who would like to put their painting
technique on a sure foundation.

A course for improvers wishing to develop their painting skills. Through a variety of studies, painting varied subject matter, different aspects of technique, composition, colour mixing, perspective etc will be covered. The course will be taken in water based media with class members using whatever they prefer - watercolour, acrylic or gouache. Tutor: DANNY ROSS

A class for all levels. Learn how to begin painting in oils
or how to develop techniques. Sound working practices will be established
and use of
materials taught through a variety of studies from Still Life
to Landscape. Composition, proportion, colour mixing etc will all be
covered and the mysteries of this enjoyable medium unfolded. Tutor: CATRIONA MILLAR |

The course will be an exploration of pictorial
design. Including discovering the shape and the edge of the rectangle, the
golden section, use of grid and simple geometry in composition. A
different artist will be discussed at each session and how drawing has
been central to their practice. The class will have a relaxed informal
atmosphere whilst at the same time remaining rigorous. Offers students the
opportunity to explore a wide range of drawing practice, to inform their
own painting.
