20th Anniversary Christmas Exhibition

4 November to 23 December 2007

OPEN Monday to Saturday 11.00 am to 5.00 pm, Sunday 2 pm to 5 pm.
Closed Thursday.

Our very first exhibition, when we opened in November 1987, was a Christmas show.  Since then, our Christmas Exhibitions have been a highlight of each year when we exhibit a wide range of wonderful artists (not to mention ply visitors with mulled wine and mince pies).  Much has changed over twenty years but we continue to aim for a special show each Christmas.  In 1987, many wondered if we could possibly survive in rural Aberdeenshire, but thanks to the support of artists and patrons, we are still going strong.  The internet has been a huge advance and we are delighted to share Scottish art worldwide through our website, although digital images can never convey the subtleties of colour, tone and texture of original paintings, sculpture or studio crafts.  A number of artists have been with us since we first opened but we also continually seek to introduce new artists.  Among those taking part this year are Anne Anderson, Walter Awlson, John Wetten Brown, Dorothy Bruce, Catriona Campbell, Kirstie Cohen, Ron Eardley, Linda Farquharson, Mo Farquharson, Moira Ferrier RSW, Christopher Forsey, Gillian Goodheir, Claire Harkess, James Harrigan, Wendy Houston, Aliisa Hyslop, D.E.Johnston, Duncan Macleod RSW, Alistair J.Malcolm, Ian Mastin, Jenny Matthews, Drummond Mayo, Mhairi McGregor RSW, Lesley McKenzie, Illona Morrice, John Lowrie Morrison, Rob Mulholland, Donald Murray, Kathryn O’Kell, James Orr, Kate Philp, Gabrielle Reith, Barbara Robertson, Ann Ross RSW, Danny Ross, Patricia Sadler, Tom Shanks RSW RGI PAI, Joe Smernicki, David Smith, Phil Thompson, Maggie Williams, Jennifer Wilson and  Georgie Young.

We  wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
