This is our seventh Sea Images exhibition — a now biennial event. There is infinite variety around the Scottish coast, east, north and west, challenging artists to express its many moods, whether those of the sea itself or the shoreline and coastal landscape. Well known exhibitors include John Wetten Brown, Dorothy Bruce, Kirstie Cohen, Frank Colclough, Jim Dunbar RSW, Chris Forsey, Gillian Goodheir, Wendy Houston, Aliisa Hyslop, D.E.Johnston, Duncan MacLeod RSW, George Muir, William Neal, Donald M.Paterson RSW, Danny Ross, Joe Smernicki, Marion Thomson, Alan Watson, Maggie Williams and Bill Wright RSW RGI PAI. One artist exhibiting with us for the first time is Caroline Bailey RSW. Although based in Cheshire, ever since she was a small child Caroline has visited Scotland, in particular the West Coast and the Western Isles, and her love of Scotland is evident in her paintings. |
