WILLIE FULTON born in Glasgow in 1945.  He studied at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1967.  He became an art teacher the following year and taught in secondary and further education for 30 years, taking early retirement in 1998. Since 1976 he has lived and worked on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. His work has been exhibited throughout the UK and worldwide and is widely collected.

His paintings are a personal evocation of his environment on Harris and its unique atmosphere. From his understanding of its weather and changing light, from sunrise to moonrise, he creates a unique vision of the island.
