Letitia Smith-Burnett

LETITIA SMITH-BURNETT has painted for many years and has studied with the Open College of the Arts, The Leith School of Art in Edinburgh and a number of workshops.  She uses a range of media to capture the light, textures and atmosphere of the wilderness areas of land and sea. The colours and textures of undergrowth and uncultivated land and scrub inspire studies of flowers and seedheads.  She also enjoys sailing and aims to capture the various moods of the sometimes turbulent and sometimes calm environment at sea.

Leititia is well known in north east Scotland and has won a number of awards including 2001 Gordon Forum For The Arts Heritage Award and 2004 Commendation for Landscape Painting from Gordon Forum For The Arts.
