Jenny Matthews

JENNY MATTHEWS was born in Canada in 1964.  She grew up in Edinburgh and attended Edinburgh College of Art where she studied Drawing and Painting with Botanical Illustration, graduating with BA (Hons) in 1986. Since then she has worked full time, drawing and painting, exhibiting widely and gaining a number of awards.  She has travelled extensively, living in France for a year and in Indonesia for four years.

She works mainly in watercolour, gouache and pastel, often combined with ink; she also uses paper collage.  She has been interested in flowers since childhood and studied botanical illustration under Elizabeth Blackadder.
