DAVID SMITH lives and works in Glasgow and has studied at Glasgow School of Art and Glasgow Print Studio. The palette and inspiration for his work is taken from the Western seaboard and landscapes of Scotland. He is a keen hill walker and climber and enjoys leaving the city behind whenever he can. He works in watercolours, often incorporating collage, and also in oils. He has taken part in a number of exhibitions and was awarded the David Cargill Prize at the 2001 Royal Glasgow Institute Exhibition.
