Bill Wright RSW RGI PAI lives and works on the Atlantic shore of Kintyre, outside Bellochantuy. He is a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the Society of Scottish Artists and the Paisley Art Institute. He has received many awards including the Sir William Gillies Award and The Educational Institute of Scotland Award and he is a past winner of the Laing Art Competition. He is currently President of the Scottish Artists Benevolent Association.

He writes, "My main painting endeavour is to express the feeling and moods of the sea, from my cottage home on the shore. The particular stretch of shore near me is very rocky and exposed to the severest of the elements, yet here and there people live along it and farm right up to the edge. This I greatly admire and hope to express in paint."

Bill exhibits regularly at Tolquhon Gallery.
