SUSIE HUNT was born in Hampshire. She studied at Canterbury College of Art and West Surrey College of Art and Design, gaining a BA in 1980. She is now based in Aberdeenshire and gained a Master's degree from Gray's School of Art in 2007. She is the founder of North East Open Studios, and is a professional member of Aberdeen Artists Society. Susie has shown in many solo and group exhibitions, and in selected shows including the RWS at Bankside Gallery, London and the SSA at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. She mainly works with water based media on paper and combines location sketches with memories of landscape as subject. She has been working recently with Aberdeen Sinfonietta and has made a series of studies of the orchestra in rehearsal.
