MIKE BRADSHAW trained in Graphic Design at Kingston-upon-Thames and studied Illustration at the Royal College of Art. He spent a year's fellowship at Oxford Polytechnic with the Department of Design and Communication. Then for over ten years he was a lecturer at a number of English art schools. Trained as a psychiatric nurse, he has worked in the field of mental health since 1981. He came to North East Scotland in 1984 and currently works in Macduff. Although continuing with creative work, he did not exhibit for many years and it is only in the past four years that his work has been seen more widely. People are very much at the core of his work as it relates to their lives and the work they undertake. The exhibition includes drawings and scraperboards. He is a particular master of scraperboard technique. Boards are prepared with black indian ink over a china clay surface.  Drawings are made by scraping away the ink to expose the white surface.
