My Work
My previous work has been self-portraits, realism based oil paintings. I still enjoy and respect this way of working, however a year ago, because it was the only way I was working, it became  constricting and I found myself unable to make art at all for a while. Over the last year I have experimented with different methods and mediums, the result being a variety of new emotive and expressive ways of working. I am particularly interested  in drawing and collage and the subject matter of Horses.

 Myth-Bringer

Myth-bringer is about hope, strength and power. A strong horse, solidly leaping through time, he carries forth the Enchanted Saddle; a vessel which holds things sacred to me - symbols collected,  ready to embrace a narrative unfolding throughout my work.

Swallows dance in the Myth - Bringer's tale,
Enveloped by a tumbling hair
Unravelling are the braids, the threads.
The threads, the braids, the symbols,
I am weaving.
