One of the longest established independent galleries in Scotland.
Danny and Joan Ross opened the award-winning gallery in rural Aberdeenshire in 1987. They celebrate and promote Scottish art, showing the best emerging artists as well as established modern masters. Several hundred artists are represented by the gallery. All are carefully selected by Danny and Joan, who are always on hand and happy to discuss the work of any artist.
Summer days are here again. All may be turmoil in the political world but you can rely on our annual Summer Exhibition to lift your spirits. The exhibition opens on Sunday 17 July from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Adding to a wonderful group of artists we are delighted to have a number of superb artists showing with us for the first time: painters Vanessa Bowman, Helen Fryer, Brita Granström, Diana Hope and Janne Richardson and potter Karen McPhail.
Work is still arriving but images and full details of the exhibition will be added to the website as soon as possible.
Tolquhon Gallery runs regular Art Classes at Tolquhon Studio Workshop (Art on the Green) in Udny Green, a picturesque conservation village, 12 miles north of Aberdeen. The former Fleeman’s Shop on the village green has been transformed into an attractive, well equipped studio providing an ideal space for painting. When weather allows, classes also paint out of doors.
